ICLS Symposium | iY-20_AI-DIALOGUE-CONTROL | Artificial Intelligence and Human Purposes: Dialogues about Creativity and Control

Wed Jun 17, 10:00 AM–11:30 AM · ALP 2nd Floor Rear

This interactive poster symposium brings together approaches to working with and studying AI that are not often explicitly connected (and are often placed in opposition to one another), those concerned with the human purposes of creativity and control. The contexts of our studies vary widely: formal education, afterschool or summer programs, community workshops, and professional performing arts. Learners, users, and scholars grapple with the ethics and challenges, as well as the potentials, of AI in their lives and in society. Putting these research projects in dialogue with one another will result in a session that fosters balance and creates a cautious yet hopeful conversation.
