#1501: Sights and Sounds of the Body Politic
Tue Jun 16, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM · TBA
Major/Minor is an interactive multimedia installation that invites audiences to transform contemporary political discourse into audio and video outputs. Through the mapping of forms of video-generated speech through algorithms that transpose majority and minority sentiments and other forms of political speech into major and minor musical scales, this piece considers and synthesizes the vast scale of news and information in contemporary media, generating audio and visual compositions that reshape daily media feeds into new and ambivalent expressions of our digital ecosystems, echo chambers and refracted realities.
