We showcase two marimboles (bass lamellophone instruments) built by students of fandango music who participated in community-based instrument building workshops. These instruments were built collaboratively by over 20 participants under the guidance of a master luthier in a home that was temporarily repurposed into a grassroots workshop and cafeteria space in order to accommodate the collective, participatory building and learning process.
