#1183: Art as Inquiry: Exploring Climate Justice Through Art

Tue Jun 16, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM · TBA

This zine emerges from Art, Education and Climate Justice, a course where students use the arts to inquire into the climate crisis and develop a personal “stance” for engaging its challenges. Co-created by students and faculties, it gathers drawings, collages, photographs, craft, and mixed-media reflections from twenty-eight students. We conceptualize that the works collected here are not meant as representations or products of learning, but as living artifacts of inquiry. The pieces trace climate emotions, interdependence, inequities, and the historical systems shaping climate vulnerability. Each page is a part of a larger conversation: How can we stay with climate grief and still imagine otherwise? How might making art help us think with the world rather than about it? We see this zine as an archive of art that can mediate learning about climate justice, and how learning becomes a practice of attention, relation, and responsibility.
