#1182: Performance Score for Academic Conferences
1. In lieu of an abstract or paper, submit this score to an academic conference. The performance has begun. 2. If your submission is rejected, the performance ends. You may bow to your audience of reviewers if you wish. 3. If your submission is accepted, print the following materials: a. A script or paper for a different submission you are presenting elsewhere at the conference. b. An academic paper, article, or book chapter written by someone else you have enjoyed recently. c. The call for papers from the conference. d. Your CV. 4. Once printed, shuffle the pages of these materials together into a random order. 5. Download a Powerpoint template. Change the first slide to include the title of your submission, your name, and institutional affiliation. Change the last slide to say “thank you” and include your name and email.
