#1328: ProductiveMath: A Research-Driven, AI-Powered Platform for Teacher-Generated Productive Failure Problems

Thu Jun 18, 4:15 PM–5:45 PM · ALP 1700

ProductiveMath is a generative-AI–powered platform designed to help teachers implement Productive Failure by making it easier to create open-ended, context-rich math problems that balance challenge and accessibility. This demo highlights how the platform supports teachers in the preparation phase while preserving teacher agency through review, editing, and regeneration features. The session is organized as two coordinated stations. At Table 1, attendees will see a concise slide walkthrough of ProductiveMath. At Table 2, participants will use ProductiveMath on laptops to select a standard, generate a problem, refine it with built-in guidance, and export a classroom-ready worksheet. Attendees may choose a quick or deeper exploration path. The demo concludes with a brief Q&A and a QR-code feedback form.
