#1193: Stories of Practice for Upscaling Educational Innovation: Within and Between Research-Practice Partnerships
This full-day workshop invites Learning Scientists engaged in Research–Practice Partnerships (RPPs) to explore how stories of practice, linked with pedagogical design principles through AI-supported tools, can advance the upscaling of educational innovation. Prior to the conference, participants will use an ethically approved chatbot to elicit reflective narratives from teachers, highlighting their experiences in implementing and adapting innovations. During the workshop, participants will collaboratively analyze these stories and use a second chatbot to connect them to design principles within an existing repository, discussing implications for scaling across contexts. Through this hands-on and reflective process, participants will co-develop insights about fostering teachers’ agency and ownership within RPPs. The workshop will conclude with a collective reflection on lessons learned and possible next steps for building a sustained community of practice around story–principle methodologies and ethical, narrative-based approaches to scaling educational innovation.
