#934: Transformative Learning in Quantitative Methods with Adaptive Equity-Oriented Pedagogy
To reimagine quantitative training for doctoral students, this study examines an Adaptive Equity-Oriented Pedagogy (AEP) framework. We describe an AEP approach and assessment framework that foster the development of adaptive expertise with statistical reasoning, enabling learners to apply statistical logic that is responsive to research questions, data distributions, equity implications, and the sociocultural contexts of their datasets. This research contributes to the field by demonstrating how AEP can facilitate the integration of critically-oriented perspectives and data literacies into quantitative curricula. This AEP curriculum can offer a blueprint for transforming graduate-level quantitative methods courses.
