This paper examines how analog media such as paper and ink can be designed as meaningful tools for science learning through Lab-on-a-Book, a portable, paper-based science kit with interactive pages. Grounded in constructionism, we argue that low-tech materials can provide accessible, modifiable, and multimodal entry points into scientific inquiry, particularly in contexts with limited access to digital technologies.
