This study examined how collaborative language empowers STEM coaches' agency through researcher-practitioner partnerships. Using Cultural-Historical Activity Theory (CHAT) to analyze the collaboration between one STEM coach and researcher, data from professional learning sessions, videos, and artifacts were analyzed through thematic analysis. Findings revealed that empowering language functioned as a mediating tool in transforming traditional hierarchies and encouraging collaborative partnerships.
