STEAM is a popular approach to engaging students in learning through the integration of the arts. There are benefits to introducing STEM in ECE but also challenges finding appropriate professional development to support ECE teachers. This poster aims to address that challenge by taking a DBR approach to designing a workshop to support teacher understanding of STEAM. Findings describe the workshop design and teacher descriptions of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary STEAM learning with implications for designing STEAM PD for ECE programs.
