#1090: Inquiry Script Modeling: A Formalism for Scripting and Orchestration of Collective Inquiry
Wed Jun 17, 10:00 AM–11:30 AM · ALP 2200
This paper introduces Inquiry Script Modeling (ISM), a formalism designed to represent and operationalize inquiry-oriented learning workflows in classrooms that adopt a learning community approach. Drawing on prior CSCL research, including process modeling and orchestration frameworks, ISM supports interpretability, temporal sequencing, and adaptability. This paper presents ISM using a use case focused on AI and disinformation, to show how such formalisms can help teachers to design, communicate, and dynamically manage complex collaborative learning scripts.
