#207: Reflections on Hybrid History and Designs at ISLS Annual Meetings

Wed Jun 17, 10:00 AM–11:30 AM · ALP 2700

This paper presents a brief history of the hybrid design efforts across recent Annual Meetings of the International Society of the Learning Sciences. As such, this is a non-traditional conference paper. I first report on society history leading to a commitment from leadership to support slow design innovation through the Hybrid Engagement subCommitteee. I then share committee guiding purposes that shape virtual and hybrid design efforts. This paper is meant to make hybrid design efforts more transparent and to invite members to contribute to these efforts via committees, volunteer roles, and innovation in their own hybrid symposia design.
