#763: Transformative Disruptions: Using Call-In Strategies To Enact Solidarity In Community Partnerships
As the Learning Sciences have continued discussing subtle nuances related to community partnerships, there has been emphasis on how to enact solidarity, healing, and care. In this piece, we reflect on our enactments of solidarity and care by sharing about moments of calling-in, which we refer to as moments of curiously challenging. We use examples from our co-design sessions to showcase how call-ins function as transformative disruptions of harmful knowledges and how these moments are situated within other relationship building practices. We call on other scholars within the Learning Sciences community to consider the complexities surrounding systemized mindsets and how to attend to harmful productions and reproductions of knowledge within community-based partnerships.
