#1390: Declarative Narrative: Interactive Storytelling with Generative AI

Generative AI provides us with multiple challenges as well as opportunities. While it is disruptive to the field of writing instruction in some ways, it also allows us to innovate new genres of writing. We present three new interfaces for AI-supported writing, allowing an author of an interactive story to delegate detail, plot, and characterization to the AI while still maintaining narrative control of a story. This demo will present examples of interactive stories using these interfaces and allow participants to play through them, as well as write and share their own interactive stories.
