To effectively support remote maker sessions, tools are needed that allow distributed embodied collaborations to emerge naturally rather than forcing conformity to existing video conferencing. We present an overview of a multi-year iterative design, testing, and evaluation process of REACH (Remote Embodiment for Augmented Collaborative Help), offering insights into developing similar systems to support distributed embodied collaborations.
