This paper proposes transformative integration as a more desirable approach to resolving contradictions in contemporary educational collaboration. It conceptualizes transformative integration as the generation of thirdness and operationalizes thirdness as a Principle of Transformation (PoT) or as an actionable solution derived from it. In doing so, the paper lays the groundwork for systematically identifying and intentionally cultivating thirdness in practice, thereby supporting creativity-oriented collaboration and students’ meaningful participation in democratic, innovation-driven societies.
