This study asks what opportunities speculative storytelling practice provided for examination of overlapping systems of power and subsequent biases perceived through AI image generation during an undergraduate STEM course for preservice educators. Initial findings demonstrate the connections that students make between computer science content, systemic biases, and socioecological issues.
