#580: Conceptualizing Design Science Research for Learning Sciences: Linking Meta-Requirements, Design Principles, and Design Features

This paper examines Design Science Research (DSR) as a resource for the Learning Sciences (LS). DSR contributes paradigmatically by framing design as a basis for knowledge generation, and methodologically by supporting clearer documentation, communication, and collaboration within design research. This paper proposes an MR-DP-DF framework linking Meta-Requirements (MRs), Design Principles (DPs), and Design Features (DFs) to trace design reasoning from contextual demands to intervention features and make design knowledge contributions more explicit and traceable.
