Computational Thinking & CS Education Teacher Learning & Professional Development Research-Practice Partnerships
This study examines how PreK–12 teacher leaders facilitate knowledge mobilization (KMb) in computer science (CS), acting as brokers between research and classroom practice. Based on interviews with 20 U.S. teachers, it highlights how professional development (PD) supports teachers in applying research, integrating emerging technologies, and navigating systemic barriers. Findings emphasize the importance of positioning teachers as active agents who use, share, and co-construct knowledge, and recommend participatory, iterative PD models that foster collaboration and shape the broader direction of CS education.
