There is increasing interest in how to integrate computational thinking (CT) into K-12 education and a lack of examples of how teachers have done so, especially in non-computer science classes. This study explores how a kindergarten teacher uses problem solving as a lens for kindergarteners to learn about seasons and leverages decomposition, one aspect of CT, to help students break down the problem into smaller pieces to make the problem easier to solve.
