This paper introduces webcam-based eye tracking as a methodological alternative for exploring the multimodal nature of digital learning processes and presents Seoul National University Webcam-based Eye Tracking (SNUWET), a browser-based qualitative research suite. Two illustrative cases, one empirical study of multimodal meaning-making and one pedagogical application in pre-service teacher education, demonstrate webcam-based eye tracking's potential for moment-to-moment process tracing in authentic learning contexts, along with its methodological implications.
