#670: Early Childhood Educators’ Attitudes toward Artificial Intelligence for Children’s Learning: Perspectives from the United Arab Emirates

Wed Jun 17, 4:15 PM–5:45 PM · Online

Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping teaching and learning, yet teachers' attitudes – particularly in early childhood education (ECE) – remain underexplored. Drawing on survey data from 315 ECE teachers working with 3–7-year-olds in the United Arab Emirates, we find predominantly positive attitudes toward AI for learning, alongside conflicting and mixed views, and some strong skepticism. These findings highlight heterogeneity in teacher perspectives and can inform efforts to center their voices in shaping AI's role in education.
