This study introduces theory experience network analysis (TENA), a proof-of-concept method for examining how principles from multiple learning theories manifest and interact within student learning experiences. We analyzed reflections from students in a mathematics course. Network analysis revealed four distinct clusters representing social constructivist, transformative learning, constructionist, and cognitive constructivist principles while demonstrating that theoretical principles operate as interconnected rather than isolated mechanisms. TENA offers an approach for understanding theory-practice relationships in complex learning environments.
