#1141: Connecting the Dots: Designing Curricula for Understanding Machine Learning through Mathematics
Wed Jun 17, 4:15 PM–5:45 PM · Online
This work-in-progress study examines how integrating machine learning (ML) into math education can make AI concepts more accessible to high school learners. It proposes the concreteness-fading approach to connect ML’s real-world applications with the abstract concepts of math. Using a Design-Based Research framework, the study develops a curriculum to improve conceptual understanding, usability, and attitude in ML-integrated math learning.
