The impact of People’s Science Movements (PSM) on school teachers is rarely documented. This qualitative case study, based on 23 teacher interviews, examines the influence of the Tamil Nadu Science Forum (TNSF). TNSF facilitates transformative learning, shifting teachers from 'technicians' to 'change agents’. The network cultivates social capital, enabling teachers to overcome personal barriers, gain recognition as authors and consultants, and negotiate significant professional autonomy, thus highlighting a critical model for continuous teacher development.
