#1080: From Classroom to System: A Teacher’s Journey in the Implementation of a Large-Scale Technological Education Program

The Ginásios Educacionais Tecnológicos (GETs) are a large-scale educational policy in Rio de Janeiro, integrating technology, curriculum, and creativity through constructionist learning and the implementation of maker spaces. Within two years, 200 schools have adopted the model, with 300 more planned by 2028. Drawing on my experience as a teacher and later as a pedagogical leader for the program, this poster highlights how teachers’ experiential knowledge, purposeful collaboration, and deep listening are key for such educational network transformations.
