Invited Panel: Humanizing Institutional Landscapes of Ability Differences and Learning
An invited dialogic panel on how schools, universities, and community spaces construct or challenge ability differences and disability in relation to race, language, and culture. Panelists share artifacts from four participatory design projects spanning bilingual and special education, multi-generational college classrooms with formerly incarcerated students, and research-practice partnerships toward culturally sustaining, asset-based approaches.
